PFA Without Children: This Protection from Abuse petition is used to request a court order to protect you from someone you have an existing relationship with.PFA With Children: This Protection from Abuse petition is used to request a court order to protect you and/or eligible minor child(ren) from someone you have an existing relationship with. The court needs information about any child(ren) under the age of 18 living with you either full-time or on a temporary basis. At the end of this interview, the system will generate a protection order packet as well as the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA) affidavit.
PFSSAHT: A Protection from Stalking, Sexual Assault, or Human Trafficking petition is used to request a court order to protect you from someone who stalked, sexually assaulted or trafficked you. You can petition for yourself. Or, you can petition for a child under the age of 18, when you are their parent, court-appointed custodian/guardian, or an adult who lives with the child.
